The Octavia Spencer of the The Help (voice, inspiration…)
The Sally Hawkins of the The Shape of Water (voice, inspiration…)
From the beginning of this book, I was captured. I loved Jenna Lamia’s voice and the way she brought the characters to life. I was quickly immersed in the world of the novel, and I was rooting for the characters right away. I loved the romance in this book, and I thought it was handled so well. I also loved the mystery element, and I thought it was done really well. I didn’t see the twist coming, and I was really surprised by it. I thought this was a really well-done novel, and I would definitely recommend it to others.
