At the same time, Melisande meets Ned Henry, an expert in time travel and chronology, who tells her his employer, the government, needs her help. It turns out that a few members of the government know about time travel, and they want Melisande to help them stop time travelers from destroying the world as we know it.
This is one of those books that has everything. Time travel, alternate history, cryptography, a conspiracy, a mystery, romance, and even a little bit of magic.
The characters are great, the plot is full of twists and turns and surprises, and the worldbuilding is unparallelled. This book is one of those rare gems that is impossible to put down.
