Don Winslow is an American author of detective novels, crime fiction, and thrillers. He has written several best-sellers, including The Power of the Dog, The Cartel, and The Force. Winslow began his writing career in the late 1980s with the publication of The Power of the Dog, a crime novel set in the world of drug trafficking. He has since published more than a dozen novels, including the New York Times best-seller The Cartel. His most recent novel, The Force, was published in 2017. Winslow is a recipient of the Mystery Writers of America’s Grand Master Award, and he has been nominated for the Edgar Award and the Shamus Award.
