The Other Side of History: Daily Life in the Ancient World

Robert Garland is a professor of Classics at Colgate University. He has taught at Colgate for over 35 years, and his research interests include Roman history, literature, and philosophy. He is the author of several books, including The Greek Way (Princeton University Press, 2010) and The Roman Way (Princeton University Press, 2011). He has also taught courses for The Great Courses on a variety of topics, including Ancient Greek Civilization, The History of Ancient Rome, and The Epic Tradition.
