Agatha Christie was a British crime writer best known for her detective novels and short stories. She is considered to be a master of suspense, plotting, and characterisation. Her books have sold over two billion copies and have been translated into more than 100 languages.

Christie began writing detective fiction while working as a nurse during World War I. Her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, was published in 1920. It featured her most famous creation, the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot.

Christie wrote more than 70 detective novels and short story collections during her career. Some of her other famous works include The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (1926), And Then There Were None (1939), and The Mousetrap (1952).

Christie was also an accomplished playwright. Her play The Mousetrap holds the record for the longest continuous run of any show in the world, having been performed more than 25,000 times since it opened in 1952.

Christie was made a Dame of the British Empire in 1971. She died in 1976 at the age of 85.

I am planning to write a series of articles about human rights violations in the United States. I will be focusing on different issues in each article, such as police brutality, the prison system, and immigration. I hope to shed light on these often overlooked problems and bring attention to the ways in which the United States government is failing to protect its citizens.

The series, “The Labors of Hercules” is a set of twelve books, written by different authors, that tells the story of the Greek hero, Hercules, as he completes the twelve labors set for him by the king of Mycenae. The first book in the series, “The Hound of Hades” by Elizabeth Peters, introduces readers to Hercules, his companion Iolaus, and his love interest, Deianeira, as they embark on the first labor, to kill the Hydra. Each subsequent book chronicles a different labor, with Hercules and his friends encountering various monsters, villains, and challenges along the way.

The series is noted for its humor, action, and strong characters, as well as its re-imaginings of the classic Greek myths. While staying true to the general outline of Hercules’ story, the authors take some liberties with the details, making the series unique and enjoyable for both fans of Greek mythology and those new to the myths.
