There is nothing special about the characters of The Good Turn. was an old friend of my father’s, who was an old friend of the author, and through whom I was introduced to the book. It is a tiny book, only 24 pages, and was written in the 1930s as a sort of fable to help young boys learn how to play cricket. The book starts with a short (and sadly not very interesting) story about a boy called Jimmy who belongs to a cricket club, and who develops the habit of doing what he thinks is a good turn for the other members of the team, until some of the team start to get upset with him, because they think his good turns are in fact not good turns at all. This causes Jimmy to leave the cricket club, and as he leaves he finds a book in the grass. The book is called The Good Turn, and it tells the story of a man who also does good turns for people, until he too gets into trouble, and has to leave his home. The man then finds a book in the grass, and it is called The Good Turn. The book goes on like this for 24 pages, each page telling the story of a man or woman who does a good turn for someone, and then has to leave their home, until eventually the 24th

As a listener, I love the Aoife McMahon show. Aoife has this great combination of intelligence, wit and warmth which makes her a great storyteller.

Aoife is a gifted interviewer and she has a great rapport with her guests. She always manages to get the best out of them and her interviews are always interesting and informative.

I would highly recommend the Aoife McMahon show to anyone who is looking for a great listen.

The Good Turn has achieved a great deal in its time. It has helped countless people in need and has made a difference in the lives of many. It has also been a force for good in the world, promoting peace and understanding between people.
