The Fourth Realm

Michael Chatfield is an American author of speculative fiction, best known for his sword and sorcery novel series The Chronicles of the Black Gate. He has also written several short stories and novellas, as well as a fantasy trilogy entitled The Eternaldark.

Chatfield began his writing career in 2012 with the publication of his debut novel, The Black Gate. The novel was well received by critics and readers alike, and was followed by two sequels, The Iron Crown and The Serpent’s Eye. Chatfield has since become one of the most popular authors in the sword and sorcery genre, and his novels have been translated into several languages.

In addition to his work in the sword and sorcery genre, Chatfield has also written several short stories and novellas, as well as a fantasy trilogy entitled The Eternaldark. His short fiction has been published in a number of magazines and anthologies, including Lightspeed Magazine, Apex Magazine, and The Best of Fantasy Science Fiction.

Chatfield currently resides in the state of Arizona with his wife and two children.
