The Dark Tower IV

The characters in The Dark Tower IV are all special in their own way, but there are a few that stand out more than others. Roland Deschain is the main character and the last of the Gunslingers. He is on a quest to find the Dark Tower and save the world from destruction. Susannah Dean is a former prostitute who is now one of Roland’s companions. She is pregnant with twins and is a strong and brave woman. Eddie Dean is Susannah’s husband and another of Roland’s companions. He is a heroin addict and is struggling to stay clean. Jake Chambers is a young boy who joins Roland’s quest. He is brave and determined, and he has a special connection to the Dark Tower. and the narrator of The Dark Tower: The Wind Through the Keyhole.

Stephen King has said that Frank Muller was the inspiration for the character of Roland Deschain.
