The series of work that will be written is about the history of the world. It will start with the Big Bang and end with the present day. Each work will be about a different time period in history, and will be written in a different style.
In State of Wonder, Ann Patchett tells the story of Marina Singh, a research doctor at a pharmaceutical company. Marina is sent to the Amazon rainforest to investigate the death of a colleague, and to check on the progress of another colleague, Dr. Annick Swenson. What Marina finds in the Amazon is a world unlike anything she’s ever experienced. The people, the animals, the landscape, and the environment are all strange and unfamiliar to her. But as she spends more time in the rainforest, she begins to understand the ways of the people and the animals. She also starts to realize that the work Dr. Swenson is doing could have a profound impact on the lives of people all over the world.
