Audiobooks are a great way to consume literature. They are especially beneficial for people who commute or have long car rides, as they can listen to the books while driving. Audiobooks are also helpful for people with visual impairments, as they can listen to the books instead of reading them.
There is an interesting story associated with the Salt to the Sea. In the early 1800s, a group of British sailors were stranded on a small island off the coast of Africa. They were running low on supplies and were forced to eat salt water to survive. One of the sailors, John Harrison, became very ill from drinking the salt water and died. His body was placed in a barrel of salt water to preserve it. The other sailors were eventually rescued, but the barrel containing Harrison’s body was left behind. It was not until many years later that Harrison’s body was found, still preserved in the salt water.
I don’t know if I would say that any one voice in particular is inspiring or special, but I will say that the overall performance of the cast is excellent. Each character is brought to life in a unique and engaging way, and the story is told in a way that is both compelling and easy to follow.
