Rosemary and Rue

Rosemary and Rue is the first book in the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire. The book was published in 2009 by DAW Books.

In Rosemary and Rue, Toby Daye is a changeling who has been living in the human world for the past fourteen years. Toby is asked to investigate the murder of a human, which is a crime punishable by death in the faerie world. Toby agrees to take the case, but she quickly discovers that the victim was not as human as she thought. As Toby investigates the murder, she must also deal with her own personal demons.

Seanan McGuire is a pseudonym for Mira Grant. She is an American author who specializes in writing urban fantasy and science fiction.

This book earned the ninth spot on the New York Times bestseller list for hardcover fiction.
