It is set in a world where powder mages use gunpowder to enhance their magical abilities, and the story follows the conflict between the powder mages and the corrupt nobility. The story is incredibly well-written and the characters are rich and complex. The world-building is fantastic, and the plot is full of twists and turns. I cannot recommend this series enough.
