Next Year in Havana

Chanel Cleeton is a contemporary romance author known for her sexy, heartwarming stories. Her novels include the Last Chance series, the Wild Aces series, the Reckless & Real series, and the Flirting with Scandal series. She also writes historical fiction as Chanel Gray.

Cleeton was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and grew up on Hilton Head Island. She attended college at the University of South Carolina, where she earned a degree in international studies. After graduation, she worked in marketing and public relations for a variety of organizations, including a professional baseball team and a wine importer.

In 2013, Cleeton self-published her debut novel, Flightplan. She signed with Penguin Random House in 2014, and her novel Next Year in Havana became a New York Times bestseller.

Cleeton currently lives in North Carolina with her husband and two young children.

The novel follows Marisol as sheadjusts to life in Havana and learns about her family’s history. She also discovers that her grandfather was involved in the Cuban Revolution and that she has more in common with her Cuban roots than she ever realized.
