Lines of Departure is a military science fiction novel by Marko Kloos, published in 2014. It is the first book in the Frontlines series.

The novel follows the career of Andrew Grayson, a soldier in the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) Marine Corps, as he is drafted into the service and fights in a number of engagements against the Insurrectionists, a group of rebels who are fighting against the UNSC. Grayson is eventually promoted to the rank of sergeant and is assigned to the Second Platoon, Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment.

The novel focuses on the themes of war and violence, and explores the psychological effects of combat on the soldiers who fight in it. It also examines the morality of the UNSC’s actions in the war, and the question of whether the ends justify the means.

Marko Kloos was born in Germany in 1971, and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1979. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1989, and served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was honorably discharged in 1992, and attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in physics.

There is nothing special about the content or the characters of Lines of Departure.

Lines of Departure is a powerful and moving album that inspires listeners to think about the choices they make in life, and how those choices can impact the course of their lives. The album also encourages listeners to be grateful for the things they have, and to appreciate the people in their lives.
