Innocence is a novel by Dean Koontz, published in 1989. It is the first book in the Odd Thomas series.
Odd Thomas is a young man who can see dead people. He lives in the small town of Pico Mundo, California, where he works as a fry cook at the local diner. One day, Odd sees a dead man walking around town, and he knows that something bad is about to happen. He tries to warn the people of Pico Mundo, but no one will listen to him.
Later that day, a bomb goes off in the diner, killing dozens of people. Odd is the only one who knows who the bomber is. He must find a way to stop him before he kills again.
The Odd Thomas series is a mix of mystery, suspense, and horror, with a dash of humor thrown in. If you enjoy Dean Koontz’s writing, you will likely enjoy this series.
