Ransom Riggs is an American writer and filmmaker. He is best known for his novel Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, which was adapted into a 2016 film directed by Tim Burton.
Riggs was born in Maryland, the son of a doctor and a librarian. He grew up in Florida and attended the University of Southern California. He has worked as a journalist, a screenwriter, and a producer.
