The story Foreign Influence is about a young woman named Sarah who is living in London. She is in a relationship with a man named Luke, who is from the United States. Sarah is not happy with her life and she feels like she is not good enough for Luke. She decides to go on a trip to Italy with her friend. While she is there, she meets a man named Gianluca. Gianluca is a very handsome and successful man. Sarah falls in love with Gianluca and they start a relationship. When Sarah returns to London, she tells Luke that she is in love with Gianluca and she wants to move to Italy to be with him. Luke is heartbroken and he decides to move back to the United States.
