First Grave on the Right

Darynda Jones is an American author of paranormal romance and urban fantasy novels. She is best known for her Charley Davidson series. The series follows the adventures of a private investigator who is also a reaper.

Jones began her writing career in 2009 with the release of First Grave on the Right. The book was a finalist for the RITA Award for Best First Book and the Book Buyers Best Award for Paranormal Romance. Jones has since published eleven more books in the series. Her most recent release, Eleventh Grave in Moonlight, came out in October 2016.

In addition to the Charley Davidson series, Jones has also written a spin-off series called The Darklight Trilogy. The trilogy follows the character of Reyes Farrow, a half-demon and Charley’s love interest. The first book in the trilogy, Darklight, was published in 2014.

Jones is a native of New Mexico and currently resides in Albuquerque with her husband and two children.
