Eldest

Christopher Paolini is an American author of fantasy literature. He is best known for writing the Inheritance Cycle, which consists of the novels Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and Inheritance. He was born on November 17, 1983, in Southern California, and raised in the Paradise Valley area of Montana. His parents are Kenneth Paolini and Talita Paolini. He has two sisters, Angela and Beth.

Paolini began writing the Inheritance Cycle when he was fifteen. The first book, Eragon, was originally self-published by Paolini International LLC in 2002. It was re-published by Knopf Books for Young Readers, a division of Random House, in 2003. Eldest, the second book in the series, was published in 2005. Brisingr, the third book, was published in 2008. Inheritance, the fourth and final book, was published in 2011. The series has sold more than 35 million copies worldwide.

Paolini has also written a prequel novella, The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm, which was published in 2018. He is currently working on a new series, The Inheritance Trilogy. The first book, The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm,

There is no set series of work that will be written, but I hope to continue to explore the themes of identity, belonging, and connection through my writing.

Eldest is the second book in the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. It was published in 2005. The novel continues the story of Eragon, a young farm boy who discovers a dragon egg and raises it. When the dragon, Saphira, hatches, Eragon is thrust into a world of political intrigue and conflict as he and Saphira become involved in the fight against the evil king Galbatorix. Along the way, Eragon meets new friends and allies, including the Elf princess Arya and the rebel leader Murtagh. He also learns more about his own powers, which include the ability to use magic. Eldest is a fast-paced, action-packed novel that will keep readers engaged from beginning to end.
