The In Death series is a series of romantic suspense novels by Nora Roberts, writing under the pen name J.D. Robb. The series is set in the mid-21st century in New York City and revolves around the lives of Lieutenant Eve Dallas and her husband Roarke. The Divided in Death series is a spin-off of the In Death series, and follows the lives of Lieutenant Eve Dallas and her husband Roarke as they investigate murders that have been committed by two people who are seemingly united in death.
I think it is a combination of all three. The content is definitely engaging and the characters are likable and relatable. Susan Ericksen does a great job of bringing the characters to life.
In the latest entry in J.D. Robb’s “In Death” series, Lieutenant Eve Dallas investigates a string of murders that appear to be the work of a vigilante. The victims are all people who have been convicted of sex crimes, and the killer seems to be targeting those who have slipped through the cracks of the justice system.
Robb does a good job of portraying the victims as sympathetic characters, even though they are convicted sex offenders. The killer’s motivation is also believable, and the plot is suspenseful. The ending is a bit abrupt, but overall, this is a solid entry in the series.
