Daniel Suarez is a best-selling author of science fiction and technothriller novels. He is best known for his Daemon series. Suarez was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Miami, Florida. He attended the University of Miami, where he studied computer science. After college, he worked as a software engineer and technical writer for various companies, including Symantec and Microsoft. In 2006, he published his first novel, Daemon, which became a best-seller. Suarez has since published four more novels in the Daemon series, as well as two stand-alone novels, Kill Decision and Influx.
