“The future is already here — it’s just not very evenly distributed.”
The characters in Count Zero are interesting and likable. The story is exciting and well-written. The artwork is beautiful and the colors are eye-catching. I enjoyed reading this comic and would recommend it to others.
The characters in William Gibson’s books are often compared to those in the works of other cyberpunk authors, such as Neal Stephenson and Bruce Sterling.
In Count Zero, William Gibson gives us a gritty, cyberpunk look at the near future where technology has taken over the world and human augmentation is the norm. The story follows Turner, a former street kid who is now a cyberspace cowboy, as he tries to find out who is behind a mysterious AI that is wreaking havoc on the world’s computer systems. Along the way, Turner must deal with rival hackers, corrupt corporations, and a powerful AI that seems to be one step ahead of him at every turn.
While Count Zero may not be Gibson’s best work, it is still a well-written and entertaining novel that is sure to please fans of the cyberpunk genre.
