Cocaine Blues

There is nothing particularly special about the characters of Cocaine Blues. They are all relatively average people who find themselves caught up in the illegal drug trade.

My favourite thing about performing is the feeling of elation that comes from creating something beautiful and meaningful with others. I also love the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world and share my passion for music.

I grew up in a small town in the UK and started playing classical piano when I was five years old. I later studied music at the University of Edinburgh, where I discovered my love for jazz and improvised music. After graduation, I moved to London to pursue my musical dreams.

I’ve been lucky enough to perform all over the world, including at the Montreux Jazz Festival, the North Sea Jazz Festival, and the London Jazz Festival. I’ve also had the privilege of working with some of the most talented musicians in the industry, including Jason Rebello, Clark Tracey, and Stan Sulzmann.

My debut album, ‘The Stephanie Daniel Quartet’, was released in 2017 to critical acclaim. The album features my original compositions and arrangements, and was recorded live at the famous Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London.

We’ve performed in the biggest music festivals in Asia, including Summer Sonic, Summer Splash, and Pentaport, and even toured the US, where we played in the South By Southwest festival. We’ve also performed in front of a number of big names, including Steve Earle, who we had the honor of opening for at the Hard Rock Café in a show that was live-streamed on the Internet.

We’re also very proud of the fact that we’ve been able to play music together for ten years. The band has been through a lot of changes over the years, with some members leaving to pursue other interests and others joining the group. But we’ve always managed to maintain our core sound and our commitment to creating original music.

What’s next for The Cocaine Blues?

We’re going to be touring a lot over the next few months, playing shows in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. We’re also in the process of recording a new album, which we hope to release later this year.
