Bind, Torture, Kill

Roy Wenzl is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who has been with The Wichita Eagle since 1983. He has covered a wide range of stories, from the Oklahoma City bombing to the murder of a Kansas doctor.

Tim Potter is a longtime investigative reporter for The Wichita Eagle. He has been with the newspaper since 1981 and has won numerous awards for his work, including the Pulitzer Prize.

L. Kelly is a former investigative reporter for The Wichita Eagle. He left the newspaper in 2013 to start his own investigative journalism website, The Lost Ogle.

Hurst Laviana is a freelance journalist who has written for The Wichita Eagle, The Kansas City Star, and The Oklahoma Observer.

There is no specific series of work that will be written for this course. However, students will be expected to write a number of papers throughout the semester. These papers will focus on the topics covered in class and will require students to synthesize the material covered in lectures and readings. The papers will provide students with an opportunity to explore the topics in greater depth and to develop their own ideas about the material.

Bind, Torture, Kill is the third book in the FBI Special Agent Pendergast series. In this installment, Pendergast investigates a string of murders in New Orleans that eerily resemble a case from his past. As he gets closer to the truth, Pendergast realizes that the killer is targeting him specifically.
