Lauren Oliver is an American author of young adult fiction. She has written several novels, including the New York Times bestseller Before I Fall and the Delirium trilogy. Oliver’s writing has been praised for its lyrical style and its exploration of complex emotions.
Oliver began her writing career while still in high school, when she wrote the screenplay for a student film. She went on to study English literature at the University of Chicago. After graduation, Oliver worked as an editor at a publishing house before moving to New York City to pursue a career as a writer.
