Norm Macdonald is a Canadian stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. He is best known for his work on Saturday Night Live, where he served as a writer and cast member from 1993 to 1998. Macdonald has also appeared in several films and television series, including the Netflix sitcom The Ranch.

Macdonald began his comedy career in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, before moving to Los Angeles, California, in the early 1990s. He quickly became a regular performer at The Comedy Store and other comedy clubs.
