Alias Grace

Alias Grace is a 1996 historical fiction novel by Margaret Atwood. It tells the story of Grace Marks, a young Irish-Canadian maid in Upper Canada who, along with stable boy James McDermott, was convicted of the 1843 murder of their employer, Thomas Kinnear.
