John Grisham is a best-selling American author best known for his legal thrillers. His books have been translated into 42 languages and sold over 350 million copies worldwide. Grisham was born in Arkansas and earned his law degree from Mississippi State University. He practiced law for about a decade before turning to writing full time. His first novel, A Time to Kill, was published in 1989 and became a bestseller. It was later made into a film starring Matthew McConaughey and Sandra Bullock. Grisham’s other popular novels include The Firm, The Pelican Brief, The Client, and The Rainmaker. Many of his books have been adapted into successful films, including The Firm, The Pelican Brief, and The Client.
