Nina and her best friend Laney were playing in the park when Laney’s mom came to pick her up. Nina went home and her mom asked her where she’d been. Nina lied and said she’d been at the park with Laney. Nina’s mom asked her why she was lying and Nina said she didn’t want to go to her ballet lesson. Nina’s mom told her she had to go or she would be grounded. Nina went to the lesson, but she was mad at her mom.

While at the ballet lesson, Nina saw a girl who looked just like her. The girl was with a man who looked like he could be her father. Nina thought the girl was pretty and wished she could be like her. After the lesson, Nina asked her mom if she could go to the park. Her mom said no and told her she had to go home. Nina was mad and ran away from home.

Nina ended up at the park where she saw the girl again. The girl’s name was Sasha and she was from Russia. Sasha was with her father and they were about to leave the park. Nina asked Sasha if she could go with them and Sasha’s father said yes. Nina went home with Sasha and her father
