There is nothing particularly special about the characters of Bel Canto. They are all well-developed and interesting, but there is nothing that makes them stand out from other characters in literature.

The Claudio Abbado of the ensemble (musicianship, leadership…)

The Daniel Barenboim of the piano (technique, interpretation…)

The Leonard Bernstein of the conductor (enthusiasm, energy…)

The Lorin Maazel of the conductor (precision, perfectionism…)

The Martha Argerich of the piano (passion, virtuosity…)

The Mikhail Baryshnikov of the ballet (grace, power…)

The Plácido Domingo of the opera (passion, power…)

The Rudolf Nureyev of the ballet (grace, power…)

The Seiji Ozawa of the orchestra (precision, perfectionism…)

The Yo-Yo Ma of the cello (passion, virtuosity…)

The thing about Anna Fields is that she is able to make her voice work for her. It is not that her voice is necessarily beautiful, but it is so strong and clear. It excels with opera, symphonic music, and anything in between. It’s a musical masterpiece!”
