East of Eden

There is a 1955 film adaptation of East of Eden directed by Elia Kazan and starring James Dean, Julie Harris, and Raymond Massey. There is also a 1981 television mini-series adaptation of East of Eden directed by Robert harmon and starring Tim Daly and Martin Sheen.

The main content of East of Eden is the story of two families, the Trasks and the Hamiltons, and their rivalry over the course of several generations.
