The James S. A. Corey series is a series of science fiction novels written by collaborators Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck. The series is published under the joint pseudonym James S. A. Corey.
The series began in 2011 with the novel Leviathan Wakes, which was nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Novel in 2012. The second and third novels in the series, Caliban’s War and Abaddon’s Gate, were both nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Novel in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
The series is ongoing, with the ninth novel, Tiamat’s Wrath, set to be published in December 2019.
The characters in this book are very interesting. The main character, Persepolis, is a strong and independent woman. She is also very intelligent and has a great sense of humor. I really enjoyed reading about her. The other characters in the book are also well-developed and interesting. I particularly liked the character of Darius, who is a Persian king. He is very wise and just, and I enjoyed reading about his interactions with Persepolis. The feature content of the book is also very good. It includes a lot of information about the history and culture of Persia, as well as the author’s own experiences living in Iran. I found it all very fascinating and well-written.
The characters in the Expanse series relate to the characters of other books James S. A. Corey in a few ways. First, they are all part of a shared universe, meaning that they inhabit the same general space and time. This allows for a certain amount of cross-over between the books, with characters from one series appearing in another. Additionally, the characters in the Expanse series are often mentioned or alluded to in other Corey works. For example, the character of Miller appears in both the Expanse series and the Leviathan Wakes novel.
The seventh novel in the Expanse series, Persepolis Rising, follows the crew of the Rocinante as they continue to explore and defend the solar system while also dealing with the political fallout from the events of the previous novel, Abaddon’s Gate.
James S. A. Corey does an excellent job of continuing the story started in the first novel while also introducing new elements that keep the reader engaged. The characters are well-developed and the plot is exciting and full of twists and turns. The ending is Satisfying and leaves the door open for more adventures.
