Agatha Christie is a world-renowned mystery writer who penned 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections during her lifetime. Her works have been translated into more than 100 languages and her characters, including Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, are some of the most iconic in crime fiction history. Christie’s books have sold over two billion copies worldwide and she is the best-selling novelist of all time.
Born in Torquay, England in 1890, Christie began writing stories as a child and had her first novel published in 1920. The Mysterious Affair at Styles was an instant success and Christie quickly became one of the most popular authors of her time. Her novels often featured ordinary people who found themselves embroiled in extraordinary circumstances, and her puzzles had a reputation for being fiendishly difficult to solve.
Christie was also a master of suspense, and her novels frequently kept readers guessing until the very end. In 1926, she wrote The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, a book that is still considered one of the most innovative and surprising mysteries ever written. Christie continued to write until her death in 1976, and her work continues to be hugely popular with readers around the world.
There is no series of work that will be written, but the author hopes to continue writing about the intersections of race, gender, and sexuality in the future.
When a group of strangers find themselves stranded on an uninhabited island, they quickly realize that they are not alone. Someone is watching them, and they soon realize that they are in deadly danger. Can they figure out who is behind the threats before it’s too late?
