B. V. Larson is an American author of science fiction, fantasy, and horror novels. He is best known for his military science fiction novel series Star Force. Larson began writing in 2009 and has published over 80 novels since then. He has also had short stories published in magazines such as Analog Science Fiction and Fact, Galaxy’s Edge, and Jim Baen’s Universe.
Larson was born in Bakersfield, California, and raised in Wyoming. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked in the aerospace industry for over 10 years before becoming a full-time writer.
Larson is a self-proclaimed “lifelong fan of science fiction.” His favorite authors include Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, and Orson Scott Card. He has also cited Stephen King as an influence, saying that “King’s ability to evoke emotion in the reader is unparalleled.”
