James S. A. Corey is the pen name used by collaborators Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck. They are best known for their science fiction series The Expanse, which is published by Orbit Books.
Abraham and Franck met in 2000 and began working together in 2004. Their first collaboration was the novella The Road to Damascus, which was published in 2006. They followed this with the novel Leviathan Wakes in 2011, which was their first book in The Expanse series.
The Expanse series is set in a future where humanity has colonized the solar system. The series follows the adventures of a United Nations security agent and a rogue starship captain as they uncover a conspiracy that could threaten the stability of the entire system.
The Expanse has been praised for its believable and well-developed world-building, its compelling characters, and its fast-paced and action-packed story. The series has been nominated for several awards, including the Hugo Award for Best Science Fiction Novel.
Abraham and Franck have also collaborated on other projects, including the novella The Butcher of Anderson Station, which is set in the world of The Expanse. They have also co-written a comic book miniseries, The Exp
