Come Sundown was published on May 9, 2017 by Ballantine Books. As of June 2017, the book had sold over 100,000 copies. People have generally given the book positive reviews, with many praising the suspenseful plot and likable characters.

Nora Roberts is a prolific American author of more than 225 romance novels. She writes contemporary, historical, and futuristic romance novels, as well as romantic suspense. Many of her novels have been adapted for television and film.

The novel is set in Beartooth, Montana, and follows the lives of the Booker family. The family is struggling to keep their ranch running, and they are also dealing with the disappearance of their daughter, Sunset.
